DORTMUND, Germany –
Canadian star Alphonso Davies had to depart Bayern Munich’s sport in opposition to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday after taking a boot to the face.
The incident occurred in the forty fifth minute at Signal Iduna Park when Davies challenged Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham for the ball. The English midfielder, utilizing his physique to protect the ball from Davies, knocked the ball into the air along with his proper foot, trying to pivot and knock it away from the Canadian.
Davies acquired his head to the ball first and Bellingham’s boot linked along with his face, not the ball. The 21-year-old from Edmonton then fell to the floor, clutching his face.
Davies was substituted. There was no speedy phrase on the extent of the harm.
