NEW YORK –

Amazon workers in upstate New York overwhelmingly rejected a union bid on Tuesday, handing a second defeat to the labour group that is been making an attempt to tug the corporate to the negotiating desk since its historic win earlier this 12 months.

Warehouse workers close to Albany forged 406 votes — or about 66% — towards the union, giving the corporate sufficient assist to push again the labour group. According to the National Labor Relations Board, 206 workers — or 33.6% — voted in favour of the fledgling union composed of former and present Amazon workers.

The 31 ballots that have been challenged by both Amazon or the union weren’t sufficient to sway the end result. The company mentioned 918 staff have been eligible to vote.
