Canadian Premier League unveils newest franchise Vancouver FC

The Canadian Premier League revealed its newest franchise on Wednesday evening — Vancouver FC.

Afshin Ghotbi was additionally named the franchise’s first head coach.

Vancouver is ready to take to the pitch for the upcoming 2023 season.

The CPL had introduced plans to broaden to the Vancouver space in November 2021.

The league then introduced in April that the Vancouver-area membership would name Willoughby Community Park in Langley, B.C., residence.
