Case of man accused of killing battle rapper Pat Stay put over to November

The man accused of killing Halifax battle rapper Pat Stay has agreed to have his case put over to subsequent month.

Adam Joseph Drake, 31, appeared by video hyperlink in Nova Scotia provincial courtroom in Halifax on Friday morning. 

He is charged with first-degree homicide. He was arrested in Tantallon, N.S., final month.

The Crown is about to hand over the primary vital batch of proof to Drake’s lawyer, Ian Hutchison. Both sides agreed an adjournment was vital to enable Hutchison time to digest the fabric. 

Drake will return to courtroom — once more by video hyperlink — on Nov. 4.

He stays in custody within the meantime. 

Hutchison mentioned no choice on whether or not Drake will apply for bail might be made till after he has an opportunity to assess Crown disclosure.
