COVID-19 travel: Feds ‘strongly encourage’ still wearing masks

Canada’s Minister of Transportation says after a briefing with the nation’s prime physician, the federal government still strongly encourages folks to put on masks on planes and trains — however stopped wanting making it a requirement.


Omar Alghabra says that he participated in a briefing from chief public well being officer Theresa Tam this morning.


He says the federal government will proceed to observe recommendation from docs and can preserve the advice for now.


The minister says he wears a masks when travelling on a airplane and that it’s it a form factor to do.
