The Public Order Emergency Commission has began listening to from federal officers because it continues its inquiry into the federal authorities’s invocation of the Emergencies Act to finish the “Freedom Convoy” protests.
On the witness stand on Monday are Rob Stewart and Dominic Rochon. Both have been working for the Department of Public Safety through the protests in January and February. Stewart was the deputy minister, and Rochon was the senior assistant deputy minister of Public Safety’s nationwide and cyber safety department. Both officers have not too long ago moved on to different roles inside the federal authorities.
All this week, the fee is scheduled to listen to from high federal public servants concerning the authorities’s use of the Emergencies Act, the function varied departments performed in choice making, and the way they co-ordinated with one another and with cupboard.
