Authorities in India have stopped manufacturing of cough syrup at a factory linked to children’s deaths in Gambia after they discovered violations, a state minister informed Reuters accomplice ANI on Wednesday.


Authorities stated final week they had been testing samples of cough syrup produced by India’s Maiden Pharma for export after the World Health Organization linked them to the deaths of dozens of children in Gambia.


“State drug depts performed a joint inspection, round 12 flaws had been discovered, maintaining which in thoughts, it has been determined that the entire manufacturing shall be stopped,” stated minister Anil Vij of Haryana state, the place the factory is situated.
