A passenger boat carrying 240 folks caught hearth Monday off southern Indonesia, killing 14, rescue officers stated.
The KM Express Cantika 77 was headed to Kalabahi from Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara province when it caught hearth. It was carrying 230 passengers and 10 crew members, officers stated.
The reason for the fireplace was being investigated.
Rescuers from the Kupang (*14*) and Rescue Agency and close by vessels recovered 226 survivors, the National (*14*) and Rescue Agency stated in a press release. It stated 14 folks have been confirmed dead.
