Police urge public to avoid Rotary Drive in Sydney area after shooting

Cape Breton police are responding to a shooting incident at Rotary Drive in Sydney, N.S.

According to a police information launch Saturday night, a male sufferer is in hospital after being shot with what’s believed to be a protracted gun.

The suspect has not been discovered. 

Emergency response officers, canine groups, drones and patrol officers had been in the area, the discharge stated.

Police say the suspect is a white man round 5 ft eight inches tall. He has darkish hair, a skinny construct and tattoos on his forearm.

He is carrying a burgundy sweater or jacket, the discharge stated.

No additional particulars of the incident had been supplied.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area for the subsequent few hours and never choose up any hitchhikers.
